Prepare for Writing Task 1 & Task 2 with Structured Practice
The Writing section assesses your ability to organize and express ideas clearly in writing. Our practice tests for Writing Task 1 and Writing Task 2 are designed to help you improve your skills in writing clear, coherent, and well-supported essays and reports.
Writing Task 1 (Academic):
- Graph, Chart, or Diagram: Practice writing reports based on visual data. Focus on identifying trends, comparisons, and key features.
- Time Management: You have 20 minutes for Task 1. Our practice tests help you work within this time limit.
Writing Task 1 (General Training):
- Formal/Informal Letters: Practice writing letters of varying tones (formal, semi-formal, or informal) based on different situations.
- Clear Structure: Focus on following a clear structure with an introduction, body, and conclusion.
Writing Task 2 (Both Academic & General Training):
- Essay Writing: Practice writing essays on a variety of topics. We’ll help you develop a clear argument and use a variety of vocabulary and grammar structures.
- Planning Your Response: Learn how to quickly plan your essay to ensure that your ideas are well-organized and your response is fully developed.
Key Tips for Success:
- Time Management: Ensure you allocate sufficient time for both Task 1 and Task 2. Task 2 should take about 40 minutes
- Clarity and Structure: Organize your response with clear paragraphs and logical progression.
- Stay Relevant: Make sure each point you make is directly related to the question
- Use Complex Sentences: Incorporate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures to show your grammatical range.
